When you make this setting, an opt-out cookie is set that prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

  1. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small files that your browser automatically creates and stores on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device. In particular, they do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. The data stored in our cookies is not linked to your personal data (name, address, etc.).

Information is stored in the cookie that results in each case in connection with the specific end device used. This information includes, for example, your preferred language, your preferred activities on the website or information about the device used. Based on this information, our system and any third-party providers commissioned by us can immediately recognize the end device and make the information directly available. This does not give us direct knowledge of your identity.

Most browsers accept cookies by default. Cookies can be rejected in the security settings. If you do not accept cookies, certain features on our site may not be available to you and some pages may not be displayed correctly.
Detailed instructions on how to prevent the storage of cookies through browser settings can be found at: www.allaboutcookies.org
In addition to the security settings in your browser, users can also use the data security settings provided to specifically enable or disable third-party cookies.

a) Own cookies
We use cookies to

a. to make the use of our website more pleasant for you.

For example, we use session cookies to recognize whether you have already visited individual pages of our website during the current session. The session cookies are automatically deleted after you leave our website. The use of session cookies is absolutely necessary for the function of the website and is therefore carried out on the legal basis of Article 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f GDPR.
We also use so-called persistent cookies. These are used to recognize whether you have already visited individual pages of our website in previous sessions. In contrast to session cookies, persistent cookies are not automatically deleted immediately, but only 1 day after the end of the visit. In order to be able to use persistent cookies, we request your consent in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1(a) GDPR.

b. to improve user-friendliness. This is done using so-called temporary cookies, which are stored on your device for a specified period of time. When you visit our site again to use our services, our system automatically recognizes that you have already visited us and which entries and settings you have made. You then do not have to make the entries again. We also request your consent to this in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1(a) GDPR.

c. to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer (see section 10).

Cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already visited our website when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after one month. We also request your consent to the setting of these cookies in accordance with Article 6 (1) sentence 1 letter a GDPR.

The data processed by cookies are necessary for the purposes mentioned to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1(f) GDPR, unless they are legitimized by consent.

b) Cookies from other companies (so-called third-party providers)
As an ETL company, we cooperate with other companies, both within and outside this network. We have concluded data processing agreements with all of these companies in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. This enables us to continuously improve our website and optimize our offering. It is therefore possible that cookies from these companies may also be stored on your end device when you visit our website. These cookies are automatically deleted after 2 years at the latest, but you can also remove them manually at any time

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a message always appears before a new cookie is created.
If you wish that only cookies from us, but not from third parties cooperating with us, are stored on your end device, you can prevent this by activating the option "Block third-party cookies" in your browser.

Please note that deactivating cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.

  1. Analysis tools

Tracking tools
We strive to ensure that our website is designed to meet your needs and is continuously optimized. We therefore use the tracking measures listed below. We also use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. Without your express consent, we will not use the tracking tools to collect personal data about you unnoticed, to transmit such data to third-party providers and marketing platforms or to link the data with your personal data (name, address, etc.).

The respective data processing purposes and data categories as well as legal bases can be found in the information on the corresponding tracking tools.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter referred to as "Google") for the purpose of designing and continuously optimizing our pages to meet your needs. In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies (see section 9) are used. Google Analytics is used as part of order processing in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as

- Browser type/version,
- operating system used,
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page),
- Host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
- Time of the server request,

are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and the needs-based design of this website. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data to the extent that we can influence this. The IP addresses are anonymized so that they cannot be assigned (IP masking).

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

When you make this setting, an opt-out cookie is set that prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

  1. Advertising and remarketing

a) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
We also use Google Conversion Tracking to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website for you. Google Adwords places a cookie on your computer (see section 9) if you have reached our website via a Google ad and have given us your consent to do so.

These cookies lose their validity after six months and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Adwords customer's website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Adwords customers are not able to track cookies from users and the user data they contain via their websites. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also reject the setting of a cookie required for this - for example, by using a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com". You can find Google's privacy policy on conversion tracking here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html).

When you make this setting, an opt-out cookie is set that prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

b) bingAds, Meta and Linkedin
Remarketing tags from bingAds, Facebook and Linkedin are integrated on our website. When you visit our pages, direct connections are established between your browser and the respective servers of these companies via the remarketing tags. They receive the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. We can use the information obtained in this way for the recurring display of advertising.

When you make this setting, an opt-out cookie is set that prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

c) Data security
The information transmitted to us is stored on servers within the European Union. If you have consented to the use of cookies and trackers, cookies and trackers from providers in third countries may be processed in these countries. We would also like to point out that the transfer of data via the Internet is not completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security for the transmission of information to us via the Internet.

When you visit our website, we use the widely used SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. As a rule, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.

We use suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties, insofar as this is within our power. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

  1. Up-to-dateness and amendment of this privacy policy

We are constantly developing our website and the services we offer. In particular when new technologies are implemented and used, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. The same applies in the event of legal changes or official requirements. We therefore recommend that you not only read this privacy policy now, but also carefully from time to time.

This privacy policy is valid as of July 2024.
