Because they found the supermarket selection of colorful decorations too boring, sisters Daniela Sichting and Katharina Decker founded "Super Streusel". Daniela told our podcast hosts Nadja Müller and Saravanan Sundaram what makes their products so different and how they managed to establish themselves on the market with their crumble mixes in a short space of time.
This is not the sisters' first start-up. They have been active in e-commerce for seven years and sell cake pops with their company Guter Kuchen. The two sisters are very successful with "Super Streusel": they have now created 120 streusel mixes and built up a community of 100,000 fans on Instagram and co. Their sprinkles are the "crème de la crème" of baking accessories, because their bright and glittery colors not only make them stand out from the supermarket selection - they don't taste like sugar, but like chocolate and waffles, for example.
