In a world where consumers have access to an almost infinite selection of products with just a few clicks, an efficient and smooth logistics system is essential for any online retailer. Whether it's managing inventory, processing orders, packing and shipping products or tracking deliveries, every stage of the logistics process is crucial to the success of an online store. Florian Beck, Managing Director of Bergen Logistics Europe, is well aware of this. Founded in 2015, the company is part of the Elanders Group and a fulfillment provider for fashion and lifestyle. Even though the company focuses on small and medium-sized brands, Florian and his company offer a comprehensive fulfillment service and process support with tools and software solutions that range from warehousing and customs clearance to shipping, packaging and fiscal representation of the brands. "Without logistics, nothing would work in our world," Florian explains to our podcast hosts Saravanan Sundaram and Nadja Müller in the new episode of "Thanks for Shopping".

Florian himself is a logistician through and through: In addition to his training as a forwarding agent and a degree in business administration, Florian also came into contact with the topic of logistics while working for a book wholesaler. When logistics for goods shipments was still in its infancy, bookstores and their advanced logistics systems were considered pioneers in the industry. Florian took over a spin-off project there, with which he was able to provide e-commerce stores with important know-how on logistics processes.

The current Managing Director explains the company mission of Bergen Logistics Europe: "We are a fulfillment provider that focuses on the fashion and lifestyle sectors. Especially on small and medium-sized stores and brands, because they often fall through the cracks with large providers and that's where we see the most development potential. Florian is now responsible for sales, marketing and operational planning in Europe.
